Pupil Premium Strategy
Pupil premium
Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils. Each school is free to decide how to allocate this funding dependent on the needs of their pupils.
Pupil premium in the 2022 to 2023 academic year
This table shows how much pupil premium funding primary schools and local authorities receive for each eligible child in 2022 to 2023.
As in previous years, St Wilfrid’s continues to use its pupil premium funding to improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils. The disproportionately high impact of COVID-19 on the education of disadvantaged pupils makes this more important than ever.
