Mission Statement
St Wilfrid’s School has existed since 1871 and is a Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided School for children of statutory primary school age.
Our School is Christ centred.
We are supported by the parish and Diocesan community in order to help parents in the education and formation of their children in accordance with the promises made at Baptism when their children were first welcomed into the family of the Church.
We aim to help each child to make the most of their God given talents in all areas of the curriculum, including the core and foundation subjects of the National Curriculum.
We provide equality of opportunity for all members of the school. We place great emphasis on engendering an awareness and respect for diversity in the wider community by encouraging involvement within the community.
